KEM specializes in Ultra Low Emissions and Super Ultra Low Emissions engines with a wide range of LSI engines including Gasoline, LPG, Natural Gas. The engine sizes available from KEM are 3.0 L, 4.3 L, 5.7 L and the new 8.0 L, 9.1 L and 10.3 L. Most of our industrial and marine engine packages are available with choice of manifolds, drive and/or coupling adapters, bellhousings, fuel systems, and front drive accessories to accommodate a wide range of engine configurations and industry needs.

KEM Equipment has received EPA/CARB verification for the 1.6 to 5.7 L end of its LSI engine line. The full line extends from 1.6 to 10.3 L and is available in gasoline, LPG, natural gas and dual fuel. As the manufacturer of record, KEM receives a GM engine block, which it industrializes by adding a certified fuel system and custom bracketing.
The 8.1 and 10.3 L GM industrial engines are slated to be emissions certified in the near term. The company also installed two additional dynamometers and an emissions lab to aid in the certification process and ramp up for the stationary emissions requirements.
KEM’s 1.6 L engine is available in gasoline, LPG, natural gas and dual fuel. It is a four-cylinder; inline model rated 42 to 50 hp, depending on specified fuel. Torque output is 81 to 88 lb.ft. The 2.4 L is rated 65 to 70 hp and can be configured for gasoline, LPG, natural gas and dual-fuel operation. The 3.0 L is also a four-cylinder inline engine rated 75 hp (natural gas), 80 hp (LPG) and 82 hp (gasoline).
Featuring a V-6 design, the 4.3 L engine is rated 105 to 118 hp. Torque is 212 to 300 lb.ft. Fuel options are gasoline, LPG, natural gas and dual fuel. The 5.7 L engine is a V-8 rated 145 to 175 hp in natural gas, LPG and gasoline. It has a torque rating of 275 to 340 lb.ft. Bore and stroke are 101.6 x 88.4 mm.
The KEM 8.1 L V-8 engine. It is available in LPG and natural gas and is rated 190 to 250 hp. Torque is 425 to 545 lb.ft. Applications for the engines range from carpet cleaners and ground support vehicles to lift equipment such as forklifts, carrydeck cranes and aerial lifts. The engines are also used in power generation.
